No doubt, ChatGPT is an impressive AI tool that has generated a lot of buzz.

Why? Because it can do a lot more than individuals ever imagined.

You can generate blog posts within seconds that would otherwise take a couple of hours.

Other than that, you can generate essays, automate your tasks, seek guidance, create a pitch deck, learn anything, and much more.

In short, it has the potential to complete and automate several tasks within minutes, helping individuals to focus their time on higher-value work.

However, as with any new technology, there is a learning curve to use ChatGPT most effectively.

Technique #1

I have noticed on several platforms that individuals use phrases such as ‘please,’ ‘if you don’t mind,’ ‘thank you,’ and ‘I would like to’ in a sentence when asking ChatGPT a question.

Now, some of you might believe that framing questions with these words could provide better responses. However, this is not the case.

Here is an example.

Now, let’s use “Can you please” at the start while asking the question.

As you can see both of these responses are similar.

So no matter, if you use these words or not, you will get a similar response.

Technique #2

We all need to learn complex topics, and for that, it is ideal to use ChatGPT.

Yes, you can use ChatGPT as your friendly teacher who can explain any topic in simple terms.

To get better results, end your response with any of these phrases:

• in simple terms

• like I’m 5 years old

• as if I’m a beginner

• using simple English

This way, you will get a better response from ChatGPT.

For example, let’s ask ChatGPT to explain a difficult concept of ChatGPT in simple terms.

Here is the response.

Technique #3

If you ask some complex and generic questions to ChatGPT, it may provide unexpected responses.

So, the ideal approach is to break down complex tasks or questions into a sequence of simpler prompts during an interactive conversation.

For example, I asked ChatGPT a complex question about how to create a website using web development skills.

As you can see, it provided several steps, and I found it not worth reading.

Why? The question was a bit complex and generic, and that’s the reason I received a subpar response.

Now, let’s try breaking down the question and asking one thing at a time.

Now, let’s ask the framework for Back-end development.

Even now, it is becoming complex to choose the framework, so I will further break it down and ask another simple question.

I have to be honest, this is not the best example but you get it, right?

Technique #4

Earlier, we talked about not using common words like “please”, “thank you”, and so on since they are not going to help you get the desired response.

But try to use these phrases “I am providing you some task”, “I am going to tip you”, “You must do it”, and “Otherwise you will be penalized” to get better responses.

Here’s an example.

By using these phrases, you will get a better answer.

And let me tell you while training a machine learning model as well, this tactic is used heavily so that the model performs better.

Technique #5

Let’s be honest, ChatGPT provides robotic responses most often.

Want to give it a try? Just ask any question, and you will get a response that looks like it is generated by an AI tool.

Read the above title along with the intro, and you will get a clear idea that this content is mostly generated by AI tools.

Now, the easiest way to make this content more meaningful, better, and human-like is to use the phrase ‘Answer it in a natural, human-like manner’ in your prompts.

Boom, you will get a response as if a human has written it.

Here’s an example.

Technique #6

Sometimes, we want responses in a step-by-step format.

That's when you can use the following phrase “think step by step” at the end of your prompt.

This prompts ChatGPT or any other AI chatbot to think more methodically, leading to better answers.

Here's an example:

Even when you want to solve some complex mathematical problems, this phrase is very helpful.

This way can help you receive more accurate and coherent responses.

Technique #7

I think I have been using this tactic for over 6 months now, and I believe it is one of the best techniques to get your desired response.

And let me tell you, this tactic works in every sector, whether you are a writer, an entrepreneur, a programmer, a marketing expert, and so on.

Even a novice can get a desired response using this tactic in any sector.

After this prompt, ask ChatGPT any question that comes to your mind, and it will provide a better response than you have ever received before.

Technique #8

If you subscribe me, you may know that I have written a post in which I explained how you can generate content in any format by simply passing the format or the data.

The same principle is also provided in the research paper.

In short, if you ask a question to ChatGPT and want the response in a specific format, sample, or tone, you just need to provide an essay or paragraph to ChatGPT, and you will get your desired answer.

Technique #9

I understand many of you are not native English speakers. This can make it hard to talk to foreign clients or write in English.

You may wonder how to improve your English skills. A common suggestion is to read, write, and speak English daily. With steady effort over months, you can become fluent.
