How to Get Ahead of 99% of People Within a Year — No BS

Your journey to wealth starts from here.

You’ve probably heard that trading your time for money is a terrible idea.

But here’s the deal that many so-called experts conveniently forget to mention — every journey to financial freedom kicks off with some good old-fashioned hard work.

The real deal is that wealth doesn’t just magically appear.

It starts with rolling up your sleeves and getting down to business. It’s about changing your active income into passive income, and that’s not something that happens overnight.

Sure, as your passive income gradually takes the reins from your active income, life gets more comfortable. But reaching that point takes a whole lot of patience, something most folks simply don’t have.

This journey involves burning the midnight oil, waking up at the crack of dawn, and sticking to the grindstone.

Your work ethic matters here. It’s not about staying up until 3 a.m. every night, but it does mean being unafraid of putting in a solid day’s work.

It’s about realizing that success often comes hand in hand with sacrifices and some serious hustle.

I can personally vouch for this.

I’ve pulled in six figures online, and I can tell you without a doubt that I busted my butt for it. It’s one of my proudest achievements. I didn’t just luck into it, and I certainly didn’t wake up one day as a millionaire.

Nope, my journey started with those long hours, a thirst for learning, and the willingness to grind it out, day in and day out.

But, in the end, it was all that hard work that paved my way to success.

So, before you get caught up in the hype of easy money and quick fixes, remember that hard work is the bedrock on which you build your road to financial freedom.

With that said, let’s dive into how to get ahead.

1. Your Journey to Wealth Starts From Here

Every financial expert agrees that the first step to becoming wealthy is to avoid getting into debt.

Now, when it comes to surpassing the majority of people, the same rule applies: avoid distractions as if they were your sworn enemies. It should be your number one priority.

We all have the same 24 hours each day.

You might wonder why one person earns $10,000 during that time, while another makes $1,000, and someone else only manages to earn a hundred bucks.

Here’s the thing: It’s not because one of them is exceptionally smart. No, it’s because they excel at staying focused and not letting distractions disrupt their progress.

Also, procrastination and being unproductive are just annoying results of falling into the distraction trap.

Don’t just take my word for it — go ahead and try spending time on mindless activities like scrolling through Instagram or getting lost in the endless content on YouTube.

You’ll notice your productivity dropping faster than a lead balloon.

So, the real obstacle preventing you from reaching your goals is none other than distraction itself.

And those who master the skill of avoiding distractions? Well, they’re the ones who will have more free time than the rest of us.

2. Prioritize, Create, and Conquer!

Being a solopreneur keeps me quite busy.

I need to write articles on Medium every day, work on a bunch of blog posts, attend meetings, do freelance work, increase my followers on Twitter and LinkedIn, learn new skills, and, of course, make time for my family and enjoy life.

That might sound like a lot, doesn’t it? But here’s the thing, we’re all in the same boat.

Most of us have schedules that are as tight as skinny jeans. And, working from morning till night just doesn’t work. That’s why I have a system in place. I’ve categorized my tasks into “urgent” and “can wait until tomorrow” piles.

At the very top of my priority list is spending quality time with my family and cherishing life’s moments. Next, it’s all about writing those Medium articles, coding, and learning something new every day.

After that, I tackle my freelance projects.

The thing is, I have all these tasks organized in my head. That’s why I don’t need to write down my to-do list every single day — it’s all up here, ready to go.

3. The Compounding Effect for Personal Growth

We all know, the power of compounding. It’s the eighth wonder of the world. It can make you rich and it can make you poor.

Let’s break it down simply:

  • Initial Investment: You invest $1,000 with a 5% annual interest rate.

  • Year 1: Your investment grows by 5%, earning you $50 in interest. Your total is now $1,050.

  • Year 2: You still have your initial $1,000, but now you earn 5% interest on $1,050, which is $52.50. Your total is now $1,102.50.

  • Year 3: You have $1,102.50 and earn 5% interest on that amount, which is $55.13. Your total is now $1,157.63.

  • Year 4: With $1,157.63, you earn 5% interest, which is $57.88. Your total is now $1,215.51.

  • Year 5: Your investment continues to grow with 5% interest, earning you $60.78. Your total is now $1,276.29.

And it continues like that…

And after 30 years, the graph looks like this.

The idea is pretty straightforward, and it doesn’t just apply to investing money. It also applies when you invest in yourself.

And let me tell you, most of the top 1% invest their money and focus their time on businesses that keep making compounded money over time.

And here’s how you can grow and benefit from compounding:

  • Improve your skills.

  • Use AI tools.

  • Spend time with successful friends, or if you don’t have any, connect with someone online who shares your interests and niche. Don’t hesitate to ask them for guidance — most of them will be happy to help.

Personally, I follow a small number of writers, businessmen, and programmers. They teach me more than I ever thought possible.

4. Use AI to Dominate the Game

So far, we’ve discovered that achieving the top 1% requires dedication, avoiding distractions, task prioritization, and harnessing the power of compounding returns.

These high achievers excel in managing their work efficiently. But there’s an additional key to success: outperforming your peers.

Let me share a valuable insight.

Many of my millionaire friends possess a diverse skill set. They excel in communication, graphic design, programming, and management.

How did they accomplish this? Well, they started from scratch and acquired these skills to provide exceptional service to their customers.

Now, you might be wondering, “How can I do the same?” The answer is simple: use AI tools that can swiftly handle time-consuming tasks.

  • Need to write an attention-grabbing article, a short summary, or start a new business? Try ChatGPT.

  • Looking to craft stunning visuals? Explore Clipdrop.

  • Interested in mastering prompt engineering? Use Learn Prompting.

  • Planning to create videos? Check out VideoGen.

  • Considering website development? Give Framer AI a try.

  • Thinking about 3D design? Use WonderStudio.

  • Want to automate tedious tasks? Opt for Bardeen.

The good news is there are many more AI tools available to help you complete your tedious work in mere minutes.

By doing so, you can redirect your energy towards the tasks that truly make a difference.

5. Celebrating Life’s Journey

We each follow different paths to earn a living. But here’s the thing, we often overlook the good times along the way.

It’s like checking off boxes: first, we focus on getting good grades in school, then we aim for a fancier college, followed by chasing higher paychecks.

After that, we search for the perfect partner, and before you know it, we’re seeking luxury items, and raising kids, and suddenly, life seems to be nearing its end.

But if you take a moment to think about it, you’ll realize you’ve hardly enjoyed the journey.

It’s not the top 1% do.

So, it’s time to make a change and relish every twist and turn.

Let me share my own story as an example.

When I started my side job on Medium, I celebrated the small victories. I celebrated with my loved ones when I reached 1,000 followers, then again at 10,000, and once more at 25,000.

But here’s the important part: I was wrong. I have to enjoy every moment of that journey instead of enjoying it once.

Now, I make it a point to fully enjoy every moment.

In a nutshell, it’s about loving the journey, not just the destination.

Hope you like it.

That’s it — thanks.
